phase 1 prices on the up

Barring jays yellow and white ph1 (which was originally priced at £11k)(and doesn't count because of it's non-originality) , the cheapest v6 on ebay at the moment is a phase 2 ! with all phase 1's over £10,000 ... I suspected it would happen eventually , but not this soon ! [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

CUE ACIDV6

;)

I don't really believe that they're selling for post 10k yet but can't say I've been paying much attention...

I’m pretty sure that one of those v6's has been for sale since before I bought mine (almost a year to the day), So as much as I would dearly love to see prices on the rise, there is usually a sizeable difference between what one may want to receive for their vehicle when selling it and what they are actually likely to receive for said vehicle.

But that’s enough pessimism from me lol :).

I think phase ones are on the up. Wasn't long ago that they were 6-8k and 8k was a struggle. I personally think the rougher phase 2s don't command a premium over a decent phase 1, but the good phase 2s still do.

With so many phase ones being exported to the continent (one even went to America this week) the limited numbers are helping the sell price slowly creep up. There are some optimistic sale prices, but it's a hell of a car for as little as 10k!!!

Still seems a hard time to sell either version, but can see good phase ones slowly fetching more over the next couple of years.

Ph1 and mk1 cars always end up being worth more regardless if the later facelifted cars are better or not. There are endless examples of it.

Ph2 cars obviously command a higher price at present though and probably will do for a few years to come.

Anyone with a ph1 wanna swap with me... Cash adjustment in your favour ofcourse.

Will the 'cash adjustment' be enough to pay for the 'top coat' to finally be painted on yours?

Totally agree. :salut:

This is the height of "summer"when it makes more sense buying a car like this.

They'll likely drop down again during winter.

Lol, or a cambelt change! Planning on doing that, full service, solanoids, dephasers, coils etc next year. Plus its clearly the best colour! :race:

Extremely glad to hear this - the Vee deserves it..................
