Ph1 on eBay

Will need to look into this as I'm just on a standard policy but I believe Classic car insurance can be very cheap compared to other premiums.

Provided you've a garage and use it less than 3k per year, it a wise choice.
Most of these 'specialist' policies have the additional benefit that if the car is damaged in any way you have more say in who fixes it.
But you don't earn NCD on these policies.
Have a check araound but make sure hagerty is one you check out.

...also excellent value when you insure more than one car on a limited-mileage, classic car policy on an agreed value basis. As noted above you need to have a locked garage and have a daily driver, or use of another car.

Just spoken with Hagerty, what a nice company to speak to! The guy had a good knowledge of v6s and their value.

There are a few conditions applicable, the main ones were, limited mileage, over 30's only, you have to be the main driver on another car (named driver doesnt count) & the car is to be garaged.

Worth checking on their website to see if their policy will suit you before you ring them.

I meet all the points apart from age [smilie=icon_cry.gif] might be worth a call when it comes to insuring next year. It will be going on a laid up policy I think when it gets SORN

Yes, Hagerty are a very good company to deal with - have been with them for 6 years now. They also are quite flexible, in that as long as the car is in locked/secure storage the policy will cover it, which is very useful if, say, you need to move cars between locations (e.g. storage).

it says in the add its a cat D and has had checks... Cat D's dont need checks but cat C's do. Cat D's dont have anything written on the reg doc, cat C's do so this may put some buyers off. Also it says its 100% standard, but has non std colour wheels, side pods, ph2 rear lights and quotes to have a cd player too... none of these mean its not a good car its just not 100% original as stated, takes away some of the truth and honesty to the add for me.
