PH SUNDAY SERVICE: 28/10/12 - Mercedes Benz World

Latest PH Sunday Service at MB world. Top notch facility and MB are great hosts. Highly recommended and the focus will be back on PHers and their cars rather than Ferrais zooming round Silverstone. First 600 are in. List is around about 200 at the mo...

"Where has the year gone? It seems like only yesterday we were looking forward to summer Sunday Services and now we’re bringing you details of the penultimate PistonHeads Sunday Service of 2012, BTaP meaning no Sunday Service in November.

Sunday October 28 sees a return to Mercedes-Benz World at Brooklands where 600 PH cars will line up on our usual position on the ‘Dynamic Straight’.

The usual Sunday Service mix of hot breakfasts, PHers' cars and lots of things to see from the host manufacturer will be on offer with the added benefit of AMG passenger rides for Sunday Service folk at just £10, These will be bookable on the day on a first come, first served basis.

Never been to a Sunday Service before? It’s an easy-going format of arrive, park (no heroics please) and admire other PHers' cars. When you’re ready, breakfast will be available inside the Mercedes-Benz World building. Gates open at 09.00 and we’ll close the Sunday Service element at 13.00, but as the centre is open all day you can stay for as long as you like.

As usual you will need to ensure you add your name to the calendar to ensure entry on the day.

Those with a number between 1-600 next to their name will be on our list and will be waved through to park. If you are outside ‘the 600’ you will be added to the reserve list, but as people drop out your name will automatically move up the list.

Sunday Service lists change dramatically as the event draws closer so please keep checking right up to the eve of the event as you may find you have gained a space. If you sign up and later find you can no longer attend, please do the decent thing and remove yourself from the list enabling another PHer to take your place on the day.

Thanks to Mercedes-Benz for allowing us to return once again."

By the way, Scott's workshop, and the cars present on the day, were photographed to appear in Renault Trade Parts Magazine and your Vee was one of those that was photographed, albeit up on ramps. If you want a copy PM me your email address and I will email you.

I assume thats to do with this bit of PR which i spotted the other day: LINK

The vee is sorned now, might still try and make it down though as its only 20 mins away.

If there are enough people interested that are coming from similar directions we could arrange another pre-meet. The drive to Silverstone was great fun :)

Play it by ear though I guess.

Dulan: Very interested in a piccy. Will PM you my private email address. :approve:

That certainly seems like it, although I didn't know what the write up was going to be about, but I was also told that there is a piece in the French Performance Car magazine. Scott called me a couple of weeks before the photographs were taken and asked whether he could use photos of #002 for a couple of mag articles.

Great, hope to see you on the day Duncan. I too am Vee-less as they have now been SORN'ed.

I am on the list although wather I can attend I am not sure at the moment. I might be attending a different event.

I am up for that. Yeah, the drive to Silverstone was good fun. Remember how you taught that TVR a lesson or two ;)

Was super embarassing to randonly park up right next to eachother once we got into the circuit. Both of us pretending it hadn't happened!!

Shall we meet at the Tesco before hand like we did last time?
Sounds like a plan.

Didn't know the One Direction gig was that Sunday morning or are you watching West Sham?

Sounds like there is a story to be told there. :race: Jon?

Nothing spectacular, just coming off a dual carriageway roundabout a TVR took the inside line and gave it some welly. Hadn't really seen what the RS could do at that point so set off in pursuit. He was around 50m ahead off the roundabout and I'd say I'd halved that by the time he let off. That's torque for you!!

Dropped the ball on this one. MOT ran out on 17th and there's no way I can get to MRC before the weekend. I'm ooot. Have a great one though guys and I'll hopefully see you allfor the next one (last one of the year!).

That a shame Jon. Hope the weather holds out though for the 28th.

Yeah, kicking myself really. Such a basic error!! Looking forward to the final one of the year though :approve: :race:

I might well be there tomorrow with my 172 as the v6 is currently SORN. I shall keep an eye out for those of you who are going :).
