peoples preference on tyres...

Going to fit 245/40/18 vredestein sessata tomorrow.

Ive had them in the past on the vee and found them to be a great tyre, posibly a bit softer compound than the falken 453 I currently have but imo they have the edge on the 453s. They have tremendous grip in the dry and take some beating in the wet too, they work out approx £124 fitted each, I favoured them over the falkens which cost about the same,

Whats others thought on tyres other than the oem choice..

The Super Sports get my vote, which is what I will go for when I have to change.......was looking for them for the 993RS before Silverstone Classic 2013, but had to settle for the PS 2's, since the SS rears weren't available in the UK in that correct size and they weren't approved by Porsche - they are now!

I'm giving the 453s a go on the rear from tomorrow. Previously had PS2s on there.

Have had 452s on the front previously, and since you can't get 453s on 215/40, I'm also putting some fresh 452s on the front again since Micheldever had a couple left in stock. As always the fronts have scrubbed out their inside edges given stock toed out geometry, and so plenty of tread across the width, but very marginal on those inside edges and don't want to suddenly find I'm down to the cords!
