Part in front tub area?

Can anyone tell me what the switch thing with red cap does on RHS top of tub as mine is missing this red cap , some sort of switch ?

Think it kills the fuel if the car is running

Yea sound like the fuel cut switch, it automatically switches off in an accident (may sometime cut off if the car hits a big bump too) Just push it to reset

It is the FUEL CUTOFF.....it can be pushed to cut the fuel supply to engine.
You can reset it by pushing it again.

Wrong! Is self activated by massive acceleration (accident) and the only thing you can do by pushing it is to reset it
