Opel Kadett C at Nordschleife

One or two of you may know I have a soft spot for Opel Kadett C coupe's after owning one as my second car when I was 18. Mine was only a 1200S, though a 1600SR, 1900GT/E and a 2000 were also available.

I've just found a relatively recent video of a GT/E being driven around Nordschleife. Its flying!!!!

Excellent find Shauny boy. Quality cars and much better than their Vauxhall counter parts. I'd love to get hold of an Opel Asconna and restore it for my dad who used to own one when I was a kid. Complete with Cromodora alloys and a fiddled with engine it was a weapon in its day and very good looking even to todays standard.

Trouble is these days they are like hens teeth regardless of what model you want. Last time I looked there was only one Asconna for sale in the country and not far off the same for Kaddet coupes. :(

Hell no... thats a saloon!! [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

I'd only ever have a coupe Sean. Saloons arent even second best, Coupe - Hatch - Saloon ;)

Great video but a long way from being anywere near any sort of origionality. I remember watching Opel GT/E's many years ago competing on the RAC Rally, they were'nt the quickest but they were strong cars.
They were'nt fitted with sequential gearboxes, thats for sure !!!
