On the look for a V6

Hello, my names Josh and i am currently on the look for a Illad Blue V6 or Mars Red V6.

I live in Telford, Shropshire and drive another rare bread of car a 2001 Nissan Silvia S15 that will be up for sale in the next month to fund my next project. If anyone is local to the Telford Area and wouldnt mind a meet up to have a look around a Clio V6 (so rare to find one to look at) would be very appreciated.

Nice to meet you all.

Thanks for the welcome guys, can't believe how hard it is too find a decent blue or red one. Swear when I owned my 172 there were loads available. :(

Will keep looking though!

Well my S15 went up for sale today on the forum room will be on other sites next week.

Hopefully find the perfect V6 in that time if not going to have a nice daily to run around in, i really love the liquid yellow but guessing there hard to come by for sale? been in touch with a few friendly and helpful members on here and my second hard decision of

PH1 V6
or
PH2 V6

Let the hunt continue!

Welcome to v6Clio.net Josh :approve:

Mars Red is actually rarer in the UK than LY now, with the demise of a couple of cars. Good luck with you hunt for the right car. I you need any help, please just ask 8)

Well liquid yellow is great surprised its now more rare than Mars Red.

What are people's opinions on PH1 or PH2?

Welcome, the general consensus seems to be that Phase 2's are the best overall car but the Phase 1 offers better value. I've had both so can vouch for this :)

Yer been to see a PH1 today was lovely and road presence is still great but interior just isnt for me so think its PH2

Seen you on Cliosport.net love the technical grey colour, seen your selling up as well just fancy a change?

The Phase 1 road presence is just awesome, as you say though the interior lets the side down a little.

My Vee is a real oddball but I do love it. Unfortunately (in some ways), I think I may have other priorities in life coming up so I'm having to prepare for life without her :(

The be fair the interior on both is pretty rubbish, but even the most hardcore ph1 fans struggle to love that blue dash. I do kinda like it in a retro way.

In the ph1 vs ph2 argument, I personally think a mint ph1 is a rarer and more attractive long term prospect than an average or poor ph2. A truely mint ph2 is more widely desired and also easier to find + the extra colour choice is a huge bonus, but comes at a significant cost increase. Is a 20k phase two really 8 grand better than a mint 12k phase one? I don't think it is, hence the bargains that can be had with a ph1!

It's all just budget and taste really.

I think it comes down more to i had a PH2 172 and loved driving that to this day been the best car iv owned so when i see the PH2 V6 its got everything i loved about my old car but with the added style and engine and rarity + RWD. If i had the cash and was old enough to insure one after my 172 i would of gone for a V6 straight away.

Dont get me wrong i loved the PH1 truely is a mint car and if my budget was lower then i wouldn't hold back from getting one i think its cause my budget is around the 15k mark i am not holding out.

But don't think i would pay £20k as nice as the V6 is for 20k i would get a Noble or TVR. Saying that Sams Ph1 Mars red (for sale) keeps pulling me in and the price seems spot on for such a mint looking car.

Ahhhh difficult choice!
