300 horses my arse

On this occassion I agree with you :approve:

Silly claims like that make me mad and what's worse is people being taken in by it - hopefully no-one on here would be ...

Why take a classy looking car and do that to it??? Just needs a sun strip with Dave and Mandy or the like wrote over it lmao

Car ownership, especially owning something unusual and interesting, is all about passion and personal choice. I could not imagine visually modifying a car from standard with non-OEM parts but there is a huge market from Corsas to Enzos for items which make a car stand out from all others of its type. But...the challenge is either finding garage space for all of the modified cars you own in a vast Max-Power orgy of excess or finding someone else to buy it.

This car is obviously a personal vision of what a Clio V6 should be like and is a way of making it stand our more. I've been thinking of buying a car since Christmas and other than the cars for sale that I've viewed I have not seen one on the road so making a V6 stand out seems to be somewhat unnecessary. But the same applies to Veyrons, Enzos and Phantoms - you hardly ever see them yet owners mod them in unimaginable ways.

I wish the owner luck with the sale but cannot imagine who would buy this one unless they negotiate a price that lets them return the red-painted parts to standard. Or perhaps he could sell it to a car-enthusiast Blackburn Rovers fan who only goes to away fixtures ....

I certainly get the idea and respect people for having individual tastes and doing what they want to their cars etc.

What surprises me is that something as simple as painting the grilles in that colour has, IMHO, completely ruined the look of the car to an extent where I can't stand to look at it and would not be interested in buying it unless it was at a heavy discount for restoring it back ... And it's JUST a colour change.

I guess people selling cars also have to consider how modifications may or may not appeal to prospective buyers and to perhaps undo or change the mods to make the cars more appealing. After all this is what estate agents tell you about making your houses more saleable with terms like 'kerb appeal' and 'nuetral colours' etc.

The LHD thing is probably just a slip of the finger on the eBay tick-boxes I guess. Good job there isn't a tastefully modified yes/no tick box - there would really be a problem filling that one in.

Wonder if he's related to this guy...
