Nutt Case

Just read latest Evo. Letters page has a Nutt Case (James Nutt) explaining his love for all things Pagani was developed from a 5 yr yearning for "a red Clio V6, crossing a small ford on a Scottish A-road" (Evo circa 2003)
Could that be any of you ???

Think I've still got that issue of Evo stored safe. From memory it was up against TVR, Mitsubishi EVo and VX 220t.
I too was so smitten by the Vee on that feature that I obsessed until I got my very own. 7 years and not still on the honeymoon.

That evo feature (plus ecoty 2003) galvanised my need for a V6.
TBH I bought my V6 by chance - because I'd had a great time with the Clio Cup racers at Bedford Autodrome - and I was determined to purchase another evo "hero" the 182 Trophy. At that time (2006), Trophy's were commanding strong money and stock V6's were looking exceptional VFM at £18k... so I took the plunge on a loaded ID version.

There's something exhilarating about driving the Vee. Sure there are more competent, better honed, faster cars about... but they mostly lack charisma.
On the other hand, Pagani's have an abundance of charisma; yet have a need for serious wealth to enjoy!
