Nissan DeltaWing in action

Interesting design concept: LINK

......and attempting to qualify to race at Le Mans: LINK

Seems quite stable, and does't seem to understeer (and it has quite narrow front tyres), but the driver doesn't seem to be pushing that hard: LINK

Curious to know how one would aim for the apex and accurately hit it with such a difference between front and rear widths..............and would be interesting to see how it handles in the wet.

Seems like it is more suitable for open flowing circuits rather than more twisty/street circuits.

Thanks for posting these links up, Dulan. :approve:

These DeltaWings are so iconic.

Indeed. I too was quite facinated by the whole concept and design. Remember the six-wheeled Tyrrell P34 F1 car of the seventies?

Well, The DeltaWing will certainly be racing at Le Mans this year: LINK

"The car is powered by a 1.6 litre Nissan DIG-T turbocharged engine and features special development Michelin front tires that are only four inches wide and 23.6 inches apart, the Nissan DeltaWing’s land speed record challenger-type looks defy popular belief that the car wouldn’t go around corners."

Something to watch.
