UK cars are numbered independantly to all other v6's. Steel plaques appear from time to time on ebay. One recantly was the same as Magpiev6's car. Obviously not 'UK' plaque though.

Yes it is likely to be an import having the same number as yours Martin. The metal name plate is the key here.
