New Member in Surrey - Saying Hello

Dom9

New Member
Hi everyone,

My name is Dom and I live in Epsom, Surrey.

I have just sold my Clio Williams (well, the auction has ended on eBay) and I need to scratch the V6 itch.

I have just posted in the 'Wanted' section as my preference would be for a silver Mk.1 but there don't seem to be many cars on the open market at all at the moment.

Looking forward to reading the topics on this board and getting involved!

You've already saved me a trip on the 'cheap' car for sale in Dumfries (YC52) :D

Welcome to v6Clio.net Dom :approve:

There are a couple of members that have expressed an interest in selling recently, so your wanted post may win you a couple of private messages!

As a member, you now have full access to the knowledge base and the register, to aid finding the right v6 for you.

Happy hunting... :welcome:

Thanks Williams!

Been through a few threads already and it seems a cool place.

I look forward to some PMs!

Welcome Dom, im based about 25 mins from Epsom, if I can be of any help or give any pointers, please give me a shout.
Phase 1s are my specialist subject!

Thanks guys - a very warm welcome indeed [smilie=yay.gif]

An Illiad Blue Mk.2 passed me on the way up to Epsom Downs last week and I think that inspired me to come here.

I remember seeing the V6 at the motorshow, when they were first released, and I have wanted one ever since.

I have an LOI in for the new Porsche Cayman GT4 but depending on whether I get allocation this year or 2016 - I think this is an itch that needs scratching.

There is something about the Mk.1 that I just love though the Titanium Mk.2 that's for sale on PH looks good.

Duncan - Do you have a Mk.1 at the moment? I'd love to see it!

Welcome mate,I used to live in worcester park and was always driving up and around Epsom on my way to my parents who lived in Banstead ,but I moved to Cornwall about a year ago otherwise you could of had a look at mine ,never mind .anyway good luck with your search and your defiantly looking for the best vee in my opinion ;)

Thanks all - Really is a very firendly place in here!

Exchanged a couple of PMs with members on here so hopefully I'll be able to see some cars soon.

It's almost certain to happen but probably February at this rate!

matthew, if you join up as a paid up member all will be revealed! Cost of membership is worth every penny

Matt - I replied via email but I can assure you that it is well worth signing up as a member!

The details on YC52 already saved me time and money!

Another Cat D has appeared on eBay but I need a clean car!

No low mileage, well maintained Phase 1s out there, anyone???

All, by way of an update...

I got somewhat gung-ho, didn't start on the bottom rung and thanks to Duncan (who put me in touch with the owner) am now the proud owner of the blue 002 car with 685 miles on the clock!

I am absolutely slammed at work so have only sat in the car for about a minute but when things slow down, I'll get a proper thread up!

What a beauty!!!

Great news Dom and a real find. one of only a handful of Illiads and the original owner must have waited a long time to get it if they had order number 002 because the Illiads were amongst the last Phase ones built. I look forward to seeing it someday.
Graeme
