New key/fob

Hi

Any ideas how easily and how much a new replacement key and fob are?

I have only one set so ideally need another set.

Thanks

Kev

Im in the same situation and would like to know the full details on getting a second. My mate says you can just buy a second hand plip and take it to Renault to get re programmed? Anyone with any advice? Thanks!

Steve.

from posts ive read before, £80+ or so for the key and about £45 for reprogramming. best off ringing the local dealer and getting a price from them.

Hello

Ye, ive seen a few on Ebay, So if you manage to get a blank one from Ebay is it just a case of taking it to the Renault dealer and they will programme it? What if its been used can they still be programmed to your car?

Thanks.

I might try the key cutting place up the road to get the key done and then a new fob from Renault?

Unless the key has some kind of chip in it like my Belingo Van which activates the immobilser when placed in the ignition?

Ive tried that also unsuccesfully :s

The only place Ive found is Renault and the price is still the same - a blank blade costs £10 the programming and fob bring the total to £150

If anyone finds or knows of a cheaper soloution please post up here as im going to go the Renault route

Thats the problem...Renault and other dealers are daylight robbers.

Dont they understand that a recession is on....!
