All, ** UPDATED**

As per subject header a number of us have booked the Ring in September 21st-25th Appreciate that not many will make the trek from up north, but for those keen please see below:

Dates: Friday 21st September – Tuesday 25th September
Ferry Route: Newcastle – Ijmuiden (DFDS Seaways)
Hotel: Hotel An Der Nordschleif, Ardenau.- 3 Nights. €79 per night based on double room, inc breaky.

Plans:

• 21st – Leave Aberdeen around 10am. Pit stop in Edinburgh to pick up Mike, then onto Newcastle. Boarding will be around 4pm. Last time round we got from Aberdeen to Newcastle in about 4hrs 15mins. Board ferry, dump stuff in the cabin and hit the bar for the first of a number of libations! – Steak house onboard is cracking, well worth booking when you book ferry ticket.
• 22nd – Arrive Ijmuiden 9:30am, will get woken around 7:30 for breaky, again worth booking before as it’s cheaper. Exit ferry and cruise down to Adenau. Takes about 4hrs by the time you figure out how the hell to get out of Amsterdam. Meet Simon at some point enroute. Tbc where.
• 22nd – Arrive Ardenau – Dump bags in Hotel, get a look around. Track opens at 5:30am, will be quieter than on the Sunday. Ticket prices are €26 per lap, €95 for 4 laps or €490 25 laps.
• 23rd – Full day at the track, worthwhile taking a walk around. In the evening will book Tiergarten – Sabine Schmitts restaurant. 10-15min walk from Ardenau. !
• 24th – Head back up to Ferry port mid morning for a 4:30 boarding.
• 25th – Arrive Newcastle, drive home at your leisure.

If your interested, please drop me a PM. Happy to meet the southern folk somewhere on the continent!

Cheers

That would be good! We want to extent it to be a "European Trip" next time, we just ran out of time this year and in my case (Holidays)

Next year I'd be all over this like a tramp on chips. It's my 30th over that weekend though and the pennies are also seriously depleted at the moment!

:approve: :race: 8)

One of the lads will be coming from London, you's could easily convoy down at your leisure; although knowing him, it won't be at a leisurely pace!

You can't drive leisurely in France / Germany anyway ;)

Eddie's is a really nice place to stay and you dont get better than waking up to that soundtrack in the morning :)

Would love to go back again, the first time i went there was a french mk1 vee in the main carpark at the ring entrance. Was parked up and sporting a few war wounds if i remember rightly
