There's always something to go wrong isnt there....

Vee is currently going to fail on its faulty windscreen washer motor (presumably from lack of use - if car is dirty its time for a wash lol). I pass a renault garage on the way home but wondering if anyone can help. Before i go in an ask for a price on a v6 washer pump, is the 182 pump the same? Im guessing so but dont wanna be wrong like i was with the front grille....

Same as a Nissan Micra too! I had the same problem on my last MOT and desperate to get it done that day, I robbed the one off my mums 1st gen Micra. Lol

Thanks James, had a quick search but didnt find that thread - feel free to delete this one if need be

Cheers for the replies fowks, meant to say that there was no noise coming from the pump. When we put a bulb into the loom the bulb lit up so we knew it wasnt a wiring problem

isnt there anything that hasnt gone wrong on youre car mate

Turns out there seems to be two different types of pump?

Following the CS guide on how to get the washer bottle out, I found both pumps to be identical but different to the one I got from Renault. It was matched on the system to my chassis number but has the inlet for the bump at the bottom rather than at 90° So it was a trip back to Renault again....

Might get my MOT by the time the summer is over :(

Exact same thing happened to mine. I removed the faulty pump, took it along to euro car parts and compared it to some in stock. Found an identical one, £9.50, a bit of fiddling about (I removed the wheel and arch liner for easier access) and hey presto. Prob will have the same problem the next mot as its never been used!
