'Moments' in the Vee

Had my first one the other day. Chasing some friends in some RS Clios and Meganes, went round a 90 degree right hander, totally sighted. As came out of it was squeezing throttle and must've been some mud on the road....

Luckily caught it and straightened up, but almost didn't. Still trying to find the limits, and the FWD cars didn't bat an eyelid so didn't notice the mud. Needless to say I backed off a bit in the bends after the brown moment

Anyone else had similar where it's caught you out even though you weren't driving like a complete nob?

Yep, been there before in my old one [smilie=doubt.gif]

45 mph, wet road + greasy surface, spun twice and parked in hedge

New bumper, Wing and headlight and was good as new again!

Yep, coming off a roundabout at about 30mph, slightly wet/greasy road but didn't think anything off it, next thing i know, big tank slapper and i've 270'd across the other lane and am facing the wrong way...managed to miss the nearside curb and an oncoming car by what felt like inches, very lucky but still don't quite know how it happened. As people say, when they go, it happens so quickly you're just a passenger really, naughty v!

As the quote in evo goes,

" there are 2 types of Vee owners, those who have spun and hit something, and those who have spun and got away with it "

I didn't spin, just caught it. I put that down to talent but now you're saying I 'got away with it' ;)

I lots the back of mine accelerating in a straight line at about 60mph but managed to gather it up.

Put it down to a combination of cold weather and the well worn Goodyear Eagles that were on the back when I bought it.
Needles to say, I ordered a pair of Pilot Sports the next day!

Yeah coming out of a roundabout doing about 30mph on a cold day in December, the road was greasy and OMG [smilie=icon_exclaim.gif] I get a tank slapper !!! Managed to catch it though

I put it down to a very cold greasy road and the fact the tyres hadn't had time to warm up. IMO situations like this are less likely to happen when it's actually properly wet.

Coming out of an undercover car park and didn't realize it had been raining earlier

Turned right and started spin - gave me a chance to practice my drifting skills!

Bought a set of Kws v3 soon after and yoko ad08s - still haven't managed to unstick it since after years of trying !

Interesting I've got KW V3s on with Supersports, but the fronts need changing and was thinking AD08, then putting them on the rear when they go. Make much of a difference? Also did you go 205 or 215 as can't find 205s

I've not had a moment yet :( feel kind of left out reading this thread

Its normally a dry road car anyway but there have been two occasions its been out in the wet/greasy roads but still never really had a twitch
