MK2 Side Pod replicas

idefix

Member
As always with vee-parts related stuff i'm in a desperate mood :ihatpcs:

Where to get those replica side-pods for a MK2 vee? (NOT mk1!)
It seems like they are as rare as some used OEM ones?

Some months ago a pair was listed on ebay for a reasonable price....
Does anybody know who produced them?

Whats the overall fit of these replicas and do the plastic grills fit them?

Any infos are much appreciated :approve:

they were listed on ebay some time ago, maybe thats what you've seen

i bought a front bumper from him before and is good quality

what i got now:
"Hi, I only make the ph2 clio v6 side scoops.
Yes the side scoops are copied from original Renault side scoops.
Yes they are as good quality as the bumper.
A r/h side will cost £75.00 plus postage."

I will take some photos as soon as i get mine

Yes sounds like these might be the same that were listed on ebay.
Sounds pretty good so far!
Please provide as much information as possible :)

Is there any way to get in contact with him via ebay or directly via email?

Hi, I posted some info on these earlier this year. They are quite good quality but like the other parts he does the holes are not drilled but there are marks where they should be. The fixing points for the grilles are missing but they can be bonded on quite easily. I had to grind a little bit of the two fixing lugs but again this was quite easy. Hope this is of help

Me neither.
Overall it sounds like there is some work to do on these replicas (as always...)

Don't forget to take a couple of pics before putting them on the car kilazz.
I still think these might be a cost effective alternative. PM'd you.

Got in contact with him, here's what i got.
150£ for both excl. shipping.
Im unsure about properly fitting the grilles, rest is looking OK.

Still waiting for kilazz opinion on them.
If everything is fine and fitting the grilles isn't a nightmare i'll get them.

:approve: ?

Hi Guys, don't be put off by what I said about the fixing points for grilles. It is easy to bond them as the grille is a good fit and can't really go in the wrong place. Use professional bond from 3M, Tereson, Wurth or Upol. Don't use diy or sealer as they are not as strong.
The 4 lugs you see in the first picture are the ones I had to take a bit off but again this was very easy. I used a belt sander for speed but rough sandpaper would do as well.

Ok, here are some images of mine, not perfect fit (95%) but should be ok when installed..
