Thanks papps. Is the quoted kerb weight to the latest EU standard though which includes mass for a driver and some luggage? This is never clear to me as the weight of the newer cars supposedly does, their slight increase of around 30 or 40 kg I thought being the actual car rather than the bare care ending up slightly lighter than an R26. This would mean that a bare R26 with fluids (no occupants or luggage) would be well under 1300 Kg already, somewhere around 1280 Kg. Has anyone had one of these cars on a set of corner weight scales? I am tempted to ask one of the race outfits to weigh mine before I start on her.

To my knowledge not yet - at least no one that has been able to share the information on a public forum.

I am going to really try and get my car on a weigh bridge in the next couple of weeks - mainly for curiousity, but will get it weighed with 1/4 tank fuel without me inside and report back!

I will try and get a Mk3 meg to come with me as well for a solid comparison!
