Mk1 tyres??

Hi will I have any problems going to a 255/40/17 rear and 215/45/17 front. Needing new rubber soon and noticed that this tyre option will fit. Is this correct?? Many thanks Daz

225/45/17 is closer to the overall diameter of the original front tyres on a Mk1 but 215/45/17 is fine.....

I run 255/40/17 rear.....

Well tyres have arrived, so I shall be posting some pics of before and after shortly now with th subtle changes I have made to my car later this weekend, wheels are being refurbed and awaiting new splitter etc. I will also have a pair of front Michelin pilot sports for sale. I will get pics up as soon as there off. VGC!! 205/55/17.
