MK 2 Wheel spacers on a MK 2

As the mag wheels on the MK 2 stick out a fair bit on the rear, I wonder if the OEM wheels could be spaced out a little bit more than standard? Would just 5mm be plenty?

Suggestions for spacers and advice on whether geometry would need setting up if spaced out a little?

Me and Mossy noticed that quite a few of the French cars at Mas du Clos had spacers on the rear.. they looked to be about 10mm to me. Ben has them on his LY and they look great! We noticed the spacers before we noticed any difference to the cars track! :approve:

Yeah u are quite right Shaun there was a couple of v6's with big spacers on the back.

I have been running my vee with 5mm hubcentric spacers on the rear for the past 3 years just so the rears wheels/tyres filled the arches out a little more as they seemed a little lost in there wide homes.

I have tried spacing the front wheels out but found this effects the handling of the car - it made it tramline and felt a little scarey!!!

I have 10mm's on the rear on my blue car and it looks great. Wheel arch inner return lip gets more stone chip damage though.

Font camber needs to be reduced a tad, its excessive and the cause of the extreme wear on the tyres inner edge.
