Personally I would stick with the correct sizes

Ive just bought a pair of vredestein had them on my 17s and they were great in wet and dry so no reason shouldnt be as good for the 18s, http://www.vredestein.co.uk

although James those wheels you have are slightly wider then the OEM wheels I think so you may need to see what was fitted to the Trophys

i had the T1R, its good for you to learn the car on with all the squeal and noise near limit
but if think i would like some more gripper tires instead, and harder sidewall for more feedback...

but as for sizes, i had a +1 sizing from 215/245 race dot tires before, and now back to 205/235 oem t1r
with 215 front, they rub inside when it is max lock
with the oem sizing, the car felt much more alive, well due to lower grip also i bet
i drives a mk1 tho...
