Mk 1 silver no 318

An enormous black Hummer H2 with 20"+ ? chrome wheels hogging the front row at Boyz Toyz at Tatling End, Bucks caught my attention so thought I'd stop for a closer look. Looks like imported in from New Jersey according to a window sticker.

Dwarfed behind the Hummer was a Mark 1 silver HJZ 1844, one owner, 12,000 miles at £11,750. Seemed fairly standard and original as far as I could see, except possibly the exhaust. I'm guessing that the rear bumper grilles are the same on the Mk1 and Mk2 but in this case they had been replaced by fairly open metal grilles, presumably to show off an after market exhaust.

From the printout in the window it's been on Autotrader since at least 8th Feb. Guess it's going to stay there a while longer at that price, even for one owner and 12,000 miles. There's a rarer blue one for sale currently with 12,000miles and a year younger at £8,995 privately somewhere. It's also into Mk2 price territory but more miles and owners undoubtedly.

I was hoping I might have found one not on the Register but it's up there already.

Perhaps someone wants to give it a new home.

Update 20/05/11: The Hummer's long gone but the Vee seems routed to the exact same spot. No price on the car but the original Autotrader advert's still sitting on the dashboard! Still there 23/07/11 but now moved to a different postion.

Buying this! 10k including cambelt, waterpump, full service and new tyres and pads. It's expensive but immaculate and original, and after seeing many modified/thrashed/smoking sacks of shite it was blessed relief to find this. One owner is a lie, it's 3 owners as far as I can surmise, but 2 of them garaged it for years so it's effectively been off the road since 2004 (except for the occasional drive to and from ports where he's tried to sell it in the UK for too much money in the past).

Previous owner was a mortician in ROI who swapped it for a tweaked skyline and 5,000 euro beans, hence why he's asking a lot for it! He drove it and realised he hated it so garaged it

Date of manufacture
06 2001

First registered number plate ODZ 813

Looks tidy indeed.
