Twingo Mid engined Twingo

OK OK So the title is a little provocative but its actually a 2015 MK3 999cc 3 cylinder Twingo with the engine under the boot floor - I believe a shared platform with a Smart car?

I got this off copart for fairly cheap, its got a broken front bumper and needs a clutch. Its for my son, currently 16, to learn to drive in, and we are going to make it a little project between us to have done for December when he turns 17.

It was also previously owned by the DISGUSTINGEST HUMAN BEING ON THE PLANET.

First off, yes I went through full hazmat biological decontamination after being in this thing.

Why would you do this to your car? The seats are supposed to be the same colour as the door cards.

We were considering a new interior all together but I thought i'd just give it a shot taking the covers off and giving them a wash in the machine. 3 hour anti-stain wash with a liquitab and some vanish.

Would you believe it?

Good or what?!

Reassembled with zip ties instead of those horrig little metal rings that i had to cut out to get the covers off.

We bashed the loose stuff off, hoovered it, pressure washed it, then soaked it in hot water with a liquitab and vanish dissolved in it, then hit it with one of those drill brush things, then pressure washed the soap out. Its currenlty hanging up to dry, they take days! We then jetwashed all the interior trim too.

Finished up with a mega-hoover of the floor, Seems better now, ready for the carpet to go back in.

NA mate, insurance group 3 - otherwise we wont be able to insure it!

It might only be about 2.4 horsepower but i'd rather that than hoofing it or pubic (SIC) transport!

I think you should get one, we can bag another cheapie off copart and then jam a gixxer or a fireblade 'bike engine in there. a 12,000rpm screamer would be s w e e t .
