Please complete this short survey as it provides the meetings and events team with some good info for sorting meetings next year. Comments also most welcomed too guys. approve:
Thank you all in advance.

All quite important in my eyes bar food as I'm a human dustbin and will eat anything.

Just to add, Bikini babes at any location will get me there

As said above, I think you've probably listed the key parts that make a good meet or event. To be honest, 9 times out of 10 I'll go just for the banter and social side as not many of the meets tend to revolve around the driving aspect of the cars these days. I've been thinking about sorting a local drive out if people fancy it before or after the Silverstone event.

The thrill of a great drive is what I always look for as the great socialising aspect is at the core of any meet. I prefer moving meets as opposed to static meets. An adventure you might say is what I look for and finding unexpected places like in the New Forest a couple of years ago.

I'm keen to attend a meet next year...(About time i made the effort)

I used to attend FCS, TRAX etc...But the novelty of driving 6-7hrs minimum (9 now from Aberdeen) just doesn't do it for me any more.

I enjoyed the car scene then, but now i don't, i'd prefer to do a driving holiday around the Alps/Ring/Spa etc, socialise in the evenings with decent food, drink and company.

Perhaps i'm getting old!

I must be getting old aswell, keep looking at a Europe trip. Its something I have always wanted to do especially in a V6

Don't know what our events team have lined up for 2013 but I hope FCS and TRAX are not on their list.

They WILL be on the list... 8) closely followed by something like; "Those wishing to attend, will be shot. Any survivors will be shot again."

Missed this first time round!

The unfortunate, frustrating side! I think it would help if we actually organised some sort of road driving meet rather than trying to shoehorn some driving before/after a formal meet. The closest I've got to that was the Lakes Meet, which was fantastic I thought but was a huge undertaking; I'm thinking more meet up early on a Sunday morning for an hour or two hoon.

Spot on :approve:

Oddly enough socialising close to home seems to have carried favour in this poll. We need a dirt track and a BBQ at Nas' house I reckon. ;)

When I get my mansion and country grounds then its a deal! Now where's that no. for the Earl Of March ;)

Speaking as someone who has never been to a v6clio meet, but plenty of others, I have always enjoyed events like Silverstone Classic or anything at goodwood.

I could see Silverstone Classic as a great venue, lots of space for a big owners club section, racing all weekend, don't need to worry about food and Bikini Babes they could (probably) be found elsewhere. People here also speak about raising the cars profile and if and when it will reach classic/ cult status, I bet these kind of venues would really help.

You find things there like a row of xj220's at the Jaguar owners club and then a row of Ford Rs200's, a row of Clio V6s would be great.

Last year there was a lone guy with a liquid yellow phase 2, a renault trailor and a couple of flags... he was getting enough attention and encouraging conversation alone. (Nice car by the way if your on here, we had a brief chat)

Along time ago I used to go to events like Edition 38 (vw's) did'nt enjoy the last couple that much.

Pistonheads Sunday Service is a great format, I know a few guys here have tried to raise awareness of these but I have only ever seen a couple of clios at a time.

Please say if I've got the wrong end of the stick, again I'm a newbie just trying to contribute as best I can.

Matt

Europe and Driving around in general also appeals A LOT.

I'm off to Zurich and back in March with mine, only a long weekend, may fit some skiing in if theres still snow.

Monaco was mentioned before, that sounded good.

I also have Paris and Lake Como on the aggenda for 2013, if anyone fancies turning these locations into a group trip that would be great.

Silverstone Classic

Completely agree that SC should really be a club meet - it's perfect. Events team: nudge, nudge..........

There were a few of us there last year though! I'd say 5 or 6, all parked up by the Renault trailer. Not sure how you missed us!

Been regularly hammering these and interest/attendace has steadily increased - 6 or 7 came to the last one at Goodwood Race circuit, which for winter is an amazing turn out! Personally, think Sunday Service is a must for any self respecting petrol head. Nothing else like it and as close to the American "Cars and Coffee" type event we're ever likely to get.

I think I was there on the Saturday, lone liquid yellow all day I think, perhaps the other five turned up on sunday.

Great spot you guys had right in the middle, 50 clio v6's there would look amazing (over ambitious maybe!!!)

Sounds as if the background work for SC is already done, I will be there, I am more than willing to help with any organisation that is required.
