Manual steering conversion

Member
Hi guys me again. How do I convert my 19 16v engine setup to a manual steering rack? do I need different alternator brackets or do I just fit a shorter belt? thanks guys

oh yes, silly me  quite obviously a 5

You know Tom I don't think I care for this attitude you're giving me.

I mean where did I go wrong? You never call or write and when you do I get attitude like this? It breaks my heart.

Was it a ph1 or ph2 he roke prab?

ph2 mate, was a bit of a shed anyway lol can I get away with using the standard brackets and just run a shorter belt?

you can but its not very good. On the grey car the previous owner bodges a belt on it as the PS pump had failed, it meant there was no adjustment though and there was nothing holding the top of the alternator to the car just the bottom pivot bolt.

You'll get the setup off another 5 or even a clio/19 in the scrappers though
