As someof you probably know I'm having a fair amount of work done to my car and one of the things on the list was better manifolds. So without further waffle here are some pictures of one of the pair...
Do all the pipes have the same internal volume before they meet up?
When I did some work a Williams GP they always make the pipes match it is very important for the back presure.
They have the same volume within abut 2% which is good enough! When the other manifold is completed the additional pipework should give to all intents and purposes equal length all the way to the back box.
Simon,
they are stainless. We were going to wrap them but probably won't now as we're replacing the plastic cam covers with some CNCd from billet aluminium.
They won't come off with the engine in place and in fact we may need to modify the front and rear bulkeads slightly in order to fit them in but I'd rather do that than compromise too much on the design.
I can tell who can make you a set but don't disturb him until he's finished my car!
