Lunar R26-R

Spotted my first Lunar R26-R at Cheshire Oaks on Saturday, I am not sure which car would have got more looks my Vee or the Megane ...

Have to say first impressions were very good. The colour is excellent (probably the one I would go for) and complimented by the black wheels and red caliper detailing ... Interior looks fab with the bucket seats, harnesses and roll cage and again with the red detailing ...

Everything about the car looks brilliant apart from that horrible vertical back windscreen [smilie=badpc.gif] Even so it still has a lot of presence ...

It does look better on a Megane than the Liquid Yellow and other colours IMHO, it is a very striking, almost a pastel shade of blue but not in your face and contrasts very well with black and red ...

The strange thing is it didn't look like the Lunar I have seen the Vees painted in - though I have never seen a Lunar Vee in the flesh ...

Phone pics ...

Aye Matt it does ...

Went to pick up my thermostat and gasket today from Lookers in Chester and they have a white one in the show-room.

Whilst I still prefer the Lunar one, having a good look round the car in the dealer makes me realise what a piece of machinary it is. All credit to Reault for making such a car ... It looks and feels amazing inside ... I may even ask for a test drive :-)

I would say IMHO that of all the seat combinations I have seen, the seats and harnesses in the R26-R are what should really be in the Vee - they look so right and very OEM too ...

My mate tried to test drive the one in Warrington Renault
They wouldn't let him out in it unless he put a 2k deposit down!!!!!

Ive seen a couple knocking around Warrington, they do look the nuts [smilie=bowdown.gif]
Im afraid to say I would have to go for the new Focus RS though............ in ultimate green obviously

Yes Chris I think I would find it hard not going for the Focus ...

But we don't have that problem owning a Vee :-)

In all seriousness Renault really seem to make genuine 'out there' cars like the Vee, Trophy, Megane, Spyder etc. Hell Mr Renault is even credited in some circles with inventing the Turbocharger ... I don't see the likes of Ford or Toyota or any other manufacturer doing what Renault do - look at the WSR too, that is a great series of events for a manufacturer to put on ...

I would love to have a drive of the R26-R and of course the Focus ...

100% agree!!

nice work getting the photos of it Martin, i agree on the lunar looks great!! to my eye it appears to look the same colour as the lunar vee's, although its been over a year since ive seen one.

cool to see it sat next to the vee.
