just seen this thread on the renualtsport forum, its not up for sale yet, but will be shortly.

apparantly done less than 600 miles, but never been serviced which is a bit dubious, but still an intresting car.

bit sad to see its never been properly enjoyed!!

Hi all
Does anyone know if this car is for sale ?

Not my colour, but being very original, its hard to pass up

BTW, can you make a Mk1 handle as well as a MK2 ? ...

drop the guy who started the thread on renualtsport forums a message. its not come up for sale yet, but maybe a gentle prod might help.

it could be the lowest mileage and one of the rarest mk1s in exsistance.

mk1 vs mk2 handling, LOADS of threads relating on here. the answer is yes, from what i understand if you get a mk2 rear subframe in it and some kw varient 3's it turns it into a beast.

but to be honest, standard mk1 handling is no where near as bad as the journos/other people make out. in the dry its great, you just have to watch it in the wet....which is the same for a mk2.

enter corners slow and throttle it once the nose is straight. you will never have any issues with the handling.

Nice car - I'd be worried about it being stood for so long! (seals, belts detiorating). I'd want it fully checked over adn a major service done. One that has been driven and looked after at correct intervals may be a better option.

True not good leaving it standing, could be quite a cost to get it back up to scratch mechanically. Does depend on how its been stored though.
