Looking for a Vee

Hi

This is my first post here...

I have wanted a V6 for a number of years now and went to see a phase one at a garage today. I won't slander, but the car was a bit of a dog and the history was sketchy. Obviously walked away.

I am more keen on a phase two if I am honest; this one is online but the dealers concede the belt needs doing. Just worried it might then end up needing a fair few quid spending on it. Does anyone know this car?

Anyone else selling? Blue my favourite colour but open minded.

Thanks

Hi there

Welcome in, I'm new to the fold too, having just taken possession of my first vee :-)

I was very lucky finding a great car quickly.... I'm sure I've seen a thread about that car
I can recommend joining the forum and getting access to the full site

Hope you find the right one soon :approve:

Thanks, James. For some reason I can't see the link. Maybe it's as I am not a paid member (yet!)

I have rang about a few others or looked around but they seem to sell quickly.

You're right, thats in a club member only section

I'll hang back momentarily and sign up when/if I get one.

Current fleet is a Clio RS200 cup in Nimbus and a Seal Grey 911 Turbo.

Miss having a 3rd car as a toy and I think the V6 fits the bill.

Don't get one then sign up, there so much info on here to help you find the right one you need to sign up wen you're serious about looking (which by the sounds of it you are).
Best tenner I err spent when getting mine :)

Cheers guys. It's only a tenner. I will get it sorted.

Yeah I've wanted one for a long long time and came close a few years back to taking the plunge (ended up in an RS6; totally different car I know but just fancied a fast Audi)

Good man :)

I can never understand how people are prepared ten thousands pounds plus on a vehicle and wont want all the info accesible on here for just a tenner. The wealth of information and the history of cars on here is invaluable prior to making a purchase. I could spend a tenner on a couple of mags, or just down the kebab shop!! Or even putting my foot down in my vee!! The risk/reward ratio is ridiculously in favour of joining up. It makes no logical sense not to join up if you are going to buy a vee. For less than a couple of gallons of petrol peace of mind prior to a major purchase its worth it.
I almost bought a vee for 21k but had hidden 7k finance outstanding on it [smilie=icon_eek.gif] I didnt know of the club back then but if I had I might have found that out before I had booked a flight, hotel, ferry and time off work to go get it!

Welcome and good luck in your search and as soon as you get one get along to a club meet.

Welcome to v6Clio.net David

Good luck with you hunt for the right v6 Clio, take your time.. and dont feel awkward about asking seemingly 'daft questions' if you have any. :approve:

Welcome, and good luck with your search.

As a 911 owner, a Clio V6 will be a perfect addition.

Which 911 Turbo do you own?

Welcome,

Sounds like you need a bit of colour in your car life...

Might I recommend a Vee in Liquid Yellow to brighten up your weekend journeys?

: )

Hi

Just prefer the look and reviews I have read of the phase 2; they are also holding their money more to be honest. I guess that's just my opinion but the phase 2 is preferable.

My 911 is a 996 Turbo. It has the Aerokit and X50 pack. It's 450bhp according to Porsche figures but I bought it used so it could be mapped (specialists i take it to say it is the fastest X50 they have had in!) I know the headlights on the 996 get stick but I couldn't afford a 997 at the time and I actually like the look of my car. I promised one before I turned 30 and it was on the "to own list" and I got it nearly four years ago.

Having had various fast cars (500bhp RS6, a 300 bhp Focus RS, tuned Audi S3s, big Turbo ibiza cupra, a Sierra Cosworth Powered Westfield etc), the 911 is the quickest car I have had. Love it.

Onto the Vee, this is another on my "to own" list... So, about this yellow 255?

Liquid Yellow is unusual in that it stays 'bright' even on a dull, flat day. Although, it's not a unique Vee colour - it remains 'sought after ' and has great residuals.

Vees have an endearing innocence that some of your former cars lack. On the flip side, there's a lot less 'bang for you buck'.

Ownership can bring a great deal of satisfaction.... good luck with the search. : )
