I think most potential owners start with a decision between 255 vs 230. The next decision (and arguably most important) is the acceptable condition/mileage of the proposed Vee. Additionally, some discerning individuals might seek out rarer colours and/or specific features.

For most people 'Budget' is first, swiftly followed as Kett says.
If you're only looking at a few years ownership then Mileage is important IRO the resale value.
If your looking at long term (5 years plus) it's much less important.
But No 2 (behind 'budget') is condition.
