Liquid Yellow No 264

Took the vee for its first long trip (clocked up 300 miles  ) to Wobern Abbey for my cousins wedding. The whole family are car nuts and it was the first time I was able to show her off, she looked a gem against her rivals and everyone commented on it.

Couple from the day

Thanks Matt, this was the weekend before I was asking the silly questions about space / where to put my suit . . . :tumble:

Did it all fit in ok then?

Looks superb mate! 8)

Have you thought about a private plate of some sort? IMO the Vee is one of those cars that just seems to work better with a decent plate on it, even V6 *** etc just changes the look of the car

I know. Glad Xxl is looking as good as ever too.

Cheers Matt, as I said before Nick was a owner and not a enthusiast so I've been bringing the car back to it's original glory. I've booked some holiday in the week to prep her for winter storage where she'll be axle stands for a while. During which time the wheels will be sent to Scott and OTT clean of the arches, engine, underneath the car etc

Yes we managed to pack her up like tetris on the way back home, perfect the way their as my girlfriend took the train.

I have thought about it but I get asked all the time whether it's a private plate already, couple that with the history of the plate (Evo mag).
Thinking I'd rather buy phase two pods to colour code

It's amazing how much luggage can be stored in a vee with some careful, and thoughtful planning. In my black Gold vee, I had ample room for two and our luggage for a 2 week road trip around France and Switzerland! Zero damage from any chaffing from bags, luggage etc. Brilliant! :)

Hear what your saying about the plate Sam, and I think I'd be of the same opinion. Some private plates look good, others just 'so-so'. I was considering an early ph1 purchase, one of the OFC plates... I wouldn't change that for a private plate, due to the provenance of owning one of the original press cars. I only have a private plate on mine, as it's never had a regular age specific plate on it since new, and only changed it from UFD to RUK because I thought UFD looked naff (supposed to look like UFO but failed without making illegal 'tweaks' to it), and RUK became available at a very good price.

#264 is looking fantastic again, in all its oem glory! Full credit to you! :)

Gad you're managing to get it back to its former glory. :approve:
I like the standard plate on it.
