Leaking!! Argh...

All the rain that fell last night here in sunny Surrey has made a leak very apparent too me. I know this is nothing new as my dad has a ph1 Clio II that leaked but I was wondering if anyone has experienced this themselves to confirm what is probably is.

The water is coming in and dropping from the roof light pod onto the gear gaitor/hand brake. So I'd must it must be the window which appears to have been replaced recently. Is there a reason other than a shoddy job has been done to replace it?

Just spoke to someone who advised me it could infact be the aerial so that's the next port of call before I change the windscreen.

Hmm, there's a specific gasket for it then, off to Renault it seems.

I doubt if you will get it from Renault, it is specific to the aerial.

It's easey to dismatle and smear some sealent around.

Have a look first.

I'd have a go a tightening the aeriel up first.

The mk1 clios are notorious for it, my old one did it till I fixed it, if that doesn't work try what John says.

Well just been to Renault and they said there is no gasket. i'll just pop some sealant in there and give it a good tighten tonight.

cheers guys :)

Well they said there isn't and there wasn't one on my car.

The bolt was finger tight tho so I tightened and chucked some new sealant in there. With the weather at the moment i'll know if it worked soon enough.

Either wait for the weather or pour some (not a lot) of water on it yourself.

Well it leaked again and now the aerial is broken as the bolt comes straight out of it meaning there's no way to tighten it. So either new aerial or some sort of blanking plug/gromit. I don't use the radio enough to warrant an aerial anyway so anyone know of a blanking plug or a decent fix for this? It only leaks when it really pisses it down mind...
