Koni Shock Absorbers - Info / Rebuild

Thought this information will benefit everyone. Especially as Renault are starting to not supply the shocks anymore (namely right, rear, as of today's date)

For Information, Koni Shock Absorber Part Numbers for my 255:

Rear: 87 2627 L (Left) 87 2627 R (Right)
Front: 87 2626

I am sending mine for a rebuild by approved Koni technician. Approx cost £60 per unit.
It should be noted that the rebound is adjustable on all four shock absobers.

Rears set at 1/4 turn in
Front set at 1/2 turn in.

The Koni technician informs me he has access to the settings and values that are used on this car / shock aborber.

Phil,

quick question about the rebound adjustment,

I have just replaced the rears on my vee,
When messing around with the old units I adjusted them outward , There was no stop point , after around 12 turns outward, It feels like a screw thread has came to the end, (no stop, just spinning),
when screwed back inward the stop point was felt.

Nothing was forced when unscrewing, and the units were fully compressed and engaged in slots.
Any ideas why both these old units are completely unscrewing,
