Lame question alert....

My trolley jack doesn't fit under the car. Do you just jack with the little un then get the trolley under?

Also where is the best place for axle stands? I want to take all 4 wheels off for re-furb. 8)

Good shout that actually Duncan.

In the two photos above I notice that the stands are supporting at very different points of the car. Are the jacking points different for a ph1 vs a ph2 or is it being done wrong in one of the photos?

I didn't want to jack or support the car anywhere on the sills after owning plenty Clio's I have seen the mess of them when you do. Since it was 4 yrs ago I can't remember exactly where but common sense prevails when you see the subframes Iwould imagine?

Does renault make these or anyone James?

I'm guessing there is a workshop tools part number/ code for them. Ask a local service dept maybe. Perhaps someone like Fred would know more about thing things.

Example only.....

Cha. 208-02 cross piece cup

Cha. 408-01 or 02 depending on type of trolley jacket

Wonder if Russo can fabricate one.... ;)
Not a lot to it Matt, I did look at it and think Hmmmm, nice idea to distribute the load ;)
Only a piece of 'U' section and what looks to be some hard rubber with a groove down it. But as everyone uses different types of jacks with different fixings it couldn't be a one for all. Might have a look in to it :approve:
