thanks

ian -(255 with hand controls!)

Hi mate...theres a choice of 2 really..

theres the BMC CDA or the PiperX viper evo...alot of people have one or the other on here,

I had a PiperX on my old mk1 and the noise was amazing..a real bark..going up to a high pitched yowl at top end...well worth the money..its only a matter of time before my mk2 gets the same :approve:

Interesting to see pics of your hand controls if you dont mind...how long have you had your v6 then mate? 8)

Thanks for the info colin. i'll get one or the other.

ive had the car since may 04. i am the first owner.... sadly i took delivery of it 1 day, yes i day before the accident that put me perminatly in a wheelchair after a horrendous car accident (not in the V6!) its left me with a spinal cord injury so i cant feel or move anything from the chest down.

i did think id have to sell my pride & joy but a very dear friend, who luckily was the PR director for renault uk(it was him i brought the car through)took the car away and had it converted for me. it now has a small button in the front of the gear knob that operates the clutch, an additional leather ring on the steering wheel for the acceletator and then a lever under the column for the brake.

i do get odd looks when parking my 'baby' in disabled bays.... people dont think us 'crips' can have cool cars too!!

let me have your email add if you want some pics?

cheers
ian

very sorry to hear about your accident, sounds like a very bad one :(

isnt it great that modern technology means you didnt have to sell your baby though, it sounds an excellent set-up :approve:

so where bouts you from then mate?

Hooray for good mates :)

I get that ALL the time with the parking in disabled bays - dodgy knee (titanium joint replacement inside) and a missing lung/some ribs here. The looks get even worse when I put some shopping (nothing too heavy yet, my cement ribs still hurt heh) under the bonnet :) I get the odd snide remark too because my problems aren't quite as evident just to look at me - but I generally think of a nice witty retort.

How do you go on with your wheelchair and the Vee if you don't mind me asking? I was in a wheelie for a few months or so whilst been ill, and it was hard enough shoe horning it into the boot of a 206 heh :)

Also very sorry to hear about the accident. But Big thumbs up for keepin the car and most importantly enjoyin it! Hats off to you...

Anyway, I've got a piperX Evo on mine with a k-tec zorst and SC remap.

Rubbish vid but it's fantastic!! Love the 3k rpm growl and the noise in tunnels!
