Thank you Danny for sending me the picture below.

Of course this article is not proof that the Vee with the Alosno sticker is the same car.

A enquiry via the DVLA would bring up a list of prevoius owners, which may confirm the cars status, unless he sold it straight away and it was never in his name of course.

would be interesting to find out if this is the one or not.......

i remember a while back on cs.net (or may have been ebay) that someone was selling some signed alonso strips etc.......

Is it me or does the boot lid not sit very flush with the car? Plus all the rear badges are missing

Hi Guys

First post and it MAY be controversial ... Only joking!

Take a careful look at the magazine cover photo (James' post no. 3), small pic bottom left, Fernando is signing above the passenger glove box. Then look at the pix with the ad, a silver signature above the glovebox in silver pen is clearly shown. And a second signature adjacent the plaque. Looks good and genuine to me.

No mention of a sill signature except post no.5 above which should make us beware as it seems Fernando signed direct on the car.

As for the de-badged rear end not sure what that is about but well spotted.

Great site guys and just fabulous for a newbie who is looking to indulge himself ... but standard and low miles seems the way to go.

Mine is standard and low miles ;) ;)

Well the photo of alonso driving it in the PH advert, the car is a left hand drive model.

Also the signature next to the plaque is a clear plastic sign strip sticker

I think it's genuine and it's not actually a signature sticker, it's just a clear sticker to protect the signature. Although, I'm not sure it's a good idea paying £10k for a car that was originally free and may not have been looked after due to maintenance costs being more than the average person would like to spend.

Yup I agree too. Looks genuine all round and clearly Alonso is signing a RHD v6 in one of the photos.

But what has the service history been like and why no badges on the rear???

There seems to be a number of cars coming to the market at the moment- good and bad- and with one or two exceptions prices do not seem to be rising. If you want to sell be sensible seems to be the message.
