Ignition coil

Snails

New Member
Hi, on the side of the A12. Ignition coil failure. Trying to source one on a Sunday, before the RAC arrive.

What other cars use the same coil? And what part numbers?

Thanks guys. I will be putting a spare one in the boot

Edit: found the sticky thread.

Did you get this sorted Matt..?

Peugeot use the same coil on their v6 iirc. 406, 407 etc

GSF part number is 925PC0200

Still on the side of the road. Citroën are open today, does anybody know the part number they use?

I was on my way to the 5th Annual Fish and Chip run to Aldeburgh with Piston heads as well :-(

Edit. Citroën parts are closed, only open for test drives.

Should be the same part number, no? I've just updated my post above.

Same part number used at Citroen/Peugeot/Renault though.. or reference to it, as its non manufacturer specific part Matt.. Its a Valeo part.

FYI taken from ebay, using the 925PC0200 part number..
CITROËN C5 01- Valeo

I'm sure Citroen would recognise the 925*** part number.

And if you're lucky enough to get a Mr RAC with one, its a coil thats gone on the front bank.

Good luck fella.. :approve:

Cheers for your help. The only place open today appears to be Halfords, but cannot find it listed on their site?

I have spares at home but I am working today otherwise I could have run them up to you. I didnt know there was a PH run on today otherwise I would have gone!! Aldeburgh is one place I have always wanted to visit and never got around to it. And I have heard about their reputation for fish and chips
I keep a whole bank of coils as spares not just one. I once had two coils go so having three came in handy.
Oh and sometimes the coils from gsf have part no. 925PC0000 on the box as the code did change over time. Same part just one no. change.

Their parts department is closed on Sunday. Here is to hoping Mr. RAC has one. Ha.

Sorry to hear this pal I had the same a few weeks ago. RAC man said they don't carry them anymore I'm afraid.

RAC have been. Fault code P300 Random Misfire

Looking a bit further it is misfiring on several cylinders. Bringing up faults for 5 of them. Codes 185 and 112, 113 and 114 (I don't know if these are specific to the RAC reader)

Currently waiting on a flat bed!

I was looking forward to fish and chips as well. I haven't eaten yet this morning.

Bit far - was gonna pop over if closer with a coil pal.

It is quite far from the location given under your name.

Does anybody know if the faults in my previous post relate to a coil issue?

185 is a misfire on cyclinder 5
113 misfire cylinder 3
112. Is fire cylinder 2
114 misfire cylinder 4

Sometimes multiple coils can give up at once which is most likey what is causing the fault codes to come up.

Cheers Matt. There was one other code i think it was 186. Coil 6 was also affected.
