how much for gotti wheels ????????

You can also try here: http://www.simon-auto.de/

and here: http://www.gbsalpine.com/wheel/gotti/eng.html

GBS Alpine are the home of Gotti wheels (or so they say?) and they're website is really helpful, but all my Gotti bits came from Simon in Germany via Will Falkener at Fastcarspares.

I have some 15" Gotti parts if you are interested, two 6" inners and two 1" outers. You'd have to check but these might be good for your front wheels? Keep in mind that my front suspension (and thus trackwidth) is way different to yours, which is why I had to change the offset on my front Gotti's (which is why I now have new Gotti's on the front of my car). You'll still have to get your own 15" 75BA centers (see other styles on the GBS Alpine site but the 75BA is as used on the R5T and looks incredible). I have no idea what these bits are worth, I'll have to work it out if you are interested. Otherwise I am going to keep them in case I ever build up another car.

Be warned about fitting Gotti's though - they are stunning wheels, but I can't find any serious rubber to fit on my rears. Unless you are prepared to pay $500 per replica TRX by Coker (245mm wide I think?) and ship them over to the UK, then you will be limited to 225's on a 9J rim like I am at the moment (everyone else in the same boat? Or is it actually possible to get TRX's out of Michelin in Europe still?) which is why I have just ordered a set of compomotives (15" front, 17" rear) for use on the track.

Geoff

Michelin TRX don't run on inch rims.
Michelin has a classic series which are TB15 and TB20, so quite soft and expensive racingtyres for road useage. They have a DOT.
Don't expect to run morre than 3000miles on a set.

If you have the gotty T5 13" there is a cheap tire from yokodrama in the section 4x4 offroad tires. runs amazingly well on the road too.

You are of course quite right Harry. Believe it or not I know this but was really not thinking when I posted. I really don't know why I associated 15" rims with TRX's, I was obviously having a daft moment this morning.

The point I was trying to make, however, is the difficulty in finding wide tyres to fit 15" rims. I know that vintage Porsche owners are struggling locally.

I've downloaded and looked at the Vintage Michelin catalogue. Thanks for that tip. I like the look of the 270/45R15 in the TB5F series. That should about do me on my 9J's at the rear. I see that (according to the Michelin Tyre selector here: http://www.michelin-passion.com/passion/front/templates/affich.jsp?codeRubrique=8&lang=EN) that the TRX's recommended for the road going R5T only had 220mm's worth of tread anyway. I guess a modern 225/50/15 on a 15" diameter rim really isn't that bad after all then.

225/50/15 would be spot on Geoffbob. The TB are very good tires though, but as I understood not always available in every size.
I can't get around them since my rime are 9" on the front and 11" on the back. standard Maxi issue

Hi Guys,

First post.

You're right re wide 15" tyres.

Porsche 914/6, Ferarri Dino 246, and one or two other choice cars suffer the same.

I share you and the above with my De Tomaso Longchamp GTS which run 8 x 15Fr & 10 x 15"R rims.

Original rear fitment were Perelli P7's 285/50/15's, now unobtanium.

There are several 295/50/15's but not at the speed rating I want plus it looks a little tall and screws the gearing & speedo up, albeit not by a lot.

However, there are some 285/40/15 Yoka's out there which also screw my gearing up, to detrimental effect but I'm running with them until I have some custom 17" rims made.

I'm running 225/50/15's up front. Plenty of choice still out there.

BTW, I love the T2's and am tentatively looking for one but not intending to pay top dollar because I don't have the funds.

Phil
