Hi. I have seen an advert for a phase 1 in South wales. Registration X932OFC. Does anyone know the history on this car. Is there much difference in a phase 1 & 2. Looking at the forum it says the 1 is more raw. Haven't driven either I can't imagine either being luxurious. Cheers

I expect this will be one of the former RUK press cars.
My first car was X929 OFC and it was one of a number of press cars used for reviews.

Details on previous owner here:

Have a search for the reg on this site and it appears in a number of threads.

X932 OFC was indeed a Press car:

Another picture from it's time as one can be found in this LINK.

I'm not sure on much else of it's history but I'm sure someone else in the know will be along soon.

On a side note being a 'X' Reg car and pre March 1st 2001 it will also benefit from a lower tax rate then the later cars which would be a nice bonus :).

Become a paid up member I think.

If you are serious about buying a V6, then it's the best investment you could make to get the necessary history/advice/knowledge.

Some history on this car is known, but there a few gaps.

It was first registered 01/2001. Used as once of the 10 renault press cars.

Many years ago an ex owner ontacted the club and said that the car was under going a DIY rebuild. Im not sure what had happened to it to require a reuibld though.

The car then appeared on pistonheads heads in tidy looking order up in Scotland a few years later.

It was once registered as V600 YEH and the owner mark was a member on here. I remember it being in nice condition in his ownership. He sold it summer 2011.

It has then since appeared on ebay a couple of times. last time i saw it, it looked a little sorry for itself and had a black roof, wheels, pods, trophy spoiler, phase 2 rear lights. Just looked like it needed a little care and tidying up.

There are differences between the phase one and phase 2, but generally they reward the owner with the same great experience. Lots of info on this subject on the forum.

Best thing to do is to sign up as a member and you can gain acces to lots of invaluable information. :approve:

This is a good car. I viewed it when in Scotland and regret not buying it. The comment on the register I done a bit of digging and managed to contact the person who put this comment up via eBay and he confirmed it was a MkII he owned not a MkI. This V6 is genuine and was immaculate when I viewed it. It was on the standard Renault plates suggesting it wasn't in any major accident. I would need to dig out this info if of any interest as it was a while ago.

If you could dig the info out brembo it would be appreciated. The car is some distance away and I dont want to travel if the car is a known lemon. Cheers.

Seen this for sale bit odd with the black roof and the shopping trolley spoiler!
But nice low mileage car
