Help source Front Struts

My Vee (phase 2) has just failed MOT for broken front strut. Anti-roll bar link completely detached from strut and all badly corroded.
Can't believe I didn't spot this before.
Anyway, apparently only available from Renault and appear to be on back order with no date confirmed !!!

Can anyone help me source a pair? Any suggestions to get my car back on the road.
You guys have been great help before so here is a wee challenge.

Thanks James. Think the guy at the garage doing the MOT has tried Scott, but I'll double check.

Ive got lots of Clio stuff, from Four Ashes Renault in Wolverhamton. Not so much vee stuff but lots of Clio parts, im sure they have had vees in the past. They may have some struts ?

Ali might have a spare to get yoou through an mot in Helensburgh as he has coilovers on now.

I do have a full set of OEM struts. Although I don't want much for it (will end up in the bin anyway) I'd prefer to get rid of the whole set. Additionally I would have to ship internationally which isn't cheap...

Thought I would resurrect this post,

I am also in the same predicament as MrBlueSky (front struts badly corroded).

Anyone have a set with relatively low mileage ?

I have a suspicion that I gave David my front stocks...come to think of it.

I think...

Front shocks went to David.
Rear shocks to Chris.
OE Front springs to ColinG (Alex at the time)
Rear springs broke, so were in the bin.
Custom springs went to somebody else in the club...I forget who though...

Hi Chris, not been on the forum for a while and just spotted your request. Ali did indeed give me his struts a few years back. I'll have a good look in the garage to see if I can find them. Been thru couple of house moves so no idea where anything is.
