Hi You lucky lot

Signed up a while ago as I'm a massive Renaultsport fan, use the other forums RS, CS, Cliotrophy, Meganesport depending on which car I have at the time. The one variant I am yet to own is a V6, and now comes the time where I'm seriously considering one and trying to find out as much about them as possible.

Currently driving around in a Phase 1 172, which will become a stripped out track car once the Vee is purchased. Only thing holding me back is a much needed house move, but nothing wrong with researching and finding out about these awesome machines eh?

I know people love their Vees, and a lot is said on other forums about how amazing they are, especially in the rarer colours, and I agree. However, I think I want an Illiad Blue one. Yes they're the most common (I think), but I think the car really suits the colour. The only other colour I really would like is Lunar, but the rarity and price they command would probably put them out of reach.

Anyway, sorry if I ask stupid questions, I do try and use the search button, but sometimes it's nice to get into a discussion. I know pugs9000 pretty well, but good to find out others' view too. ps, does he bore you lot with his LY Vee crowing too

I've wanted one for a while, but due to one thing and another I've been unable to get one. Had a quick scout around the site, it's obvious you lot know your stuff :bow:

Realistically it'll probably be spring next year, but thought I'd shout up just in case the right car comes along, or my house finally sells

I'm a Dan and I sold my 1st Vee to another Dan, therefore you will buy a Vee soon. Logical :race:

Enjoyed reading your blog and good luck with the 172. Don't pump too much money into it though, that could go towards your Vee purchase.

Lucky as soon as I get a vee a friend is buying in in the 172, so I'll get a lump sum, and the costs of modding will be halved, and let's face it it doesn't cost the earth to upgrade brakes and suspension on a 172.

Also means my vee will be cherished and I can abuse the lesser model till my heart is content

Best of luck with the house move. A good bit of research into vees in the mean time is a really good idea, & make sure you find a house suitable for v6 ownership!! My vee only just goes up on to my drive with millimeters to spare.

Along with it being 'the' cult colour for the phase 2, the plus side to wanting an illiad blue is that you have a better chance of getting one in the right condition and the right price. :approve:

I do remeber you saying once you had a vee. Mars 230 is a very nice one.

Think the 'cult colour' you mention might be why I love it subconsciously.

Don't worry about the house hunting, a drive that can fit at least 4 cars on is what I ideally want (daily, track car, vee and a classic mini is the stable I want to end up with), and Mrs R has ok'd them all as long as we get a house first [smilie=yay.gif]

If it is the same car, then I too was warned against buying it when I was looking for a Phase 2 last July.
