Headache........

Well I've joined the club and have been trolling through the info, links, etc etc etc .... and think my head is going to explode

I'm thinking its looking likely I'll be getting a Ph1, mainly due to my current budget and them seeming incredibly good value at the moment [smilie=yay.gif]

I have seen one, and its a very good price, far from mint, but then not mint money, but I do like to do a bit of stripping minor resto stuff like that

Keeping an eye on any others that pop up for sale, especially any from forum members

Great site by the way, loving the passion I've seen on here, really good to see people putting genuine comments and opinions :approve:

hi Neil,
welcome to the club, I'm just down the road in scunthorpe !! happy searching, theres a low mile ph 1 in scunthorpe thats just been sat in the yard for the last 4 years, owner is reluctant to sell though,

we all like a brown envelope !!
it's a well known car on here, but would need a cam belt change, his name is martin and he runs a mint renault gt 5 turbo, I speak to him regularly so I'll ask a few questions,

Sounds like a good opportunity then. Personally id be more than happy with a non minter mk1 if it was the right price.

I agree, I'm in no rush to jump into buying one, hence the digesting of info on what to look for.... and avoid etc etc

Another very nice example has potentially come up, which I am very interested in for sure 8)
Just waiting on some more info etc

Really need to get my finger out and finally let go of the Beetle, as its time to move onto another very different toy :)

I look at them as different kinds of cool... much as my bikes are, totally different buzz from driving/riding them.... :-)

Hoping for some summer to have some more fun of this nature this year too [smilie=yay.gif]

Thats a K1 750, bought an R1 for the track back end of last year as love my road one so much, thought I'd treat myself
The K5 gets cracking reviews as the one to have, if the R1 hadn't come up I'd have been very tempted to look for a K5 for the track

Nice one - tbh it was only due to me being 6 foot 3 that I opted for the K5 which was the biggest made - only passed my test before Christmas so still learning!

Yep, mines the L2. Ive had it since about 1998 I think. Best handling bike ive ever had, and ive had quite a few. Ive had my 99 R1 since 2001, dont think i`ll ever sell it. Ive tuned it up nicely and got it how I want now! :)

I used to have a Yamaha RD350 YPVS too.... but part ex`d that for the ZXR...

I was p/ex'ing my YPVS for a new RGV250 the very next day.... ... however after a week in hospital and the realisation it was pretty fooked, it kinda put the stop to that.... then I decided I'd get me a ZXR750.... my first one was the H2, fell in love with the front end stability form then on I was a Kwaka man.... until I sold up.... to buy a house.... resulted in a few years off the road until I could raise a few "toy" funds [smilie=yay.gif]
