Does anyone know where to get a head gasket and bolts for the 21 turbo?. I tryed renault itself and GSF also but both said they havent had any in stock for 2 years and also could not order them in. the reason i ask is because the rocker cover is bone dry but there is fresh oil on the alternator and i assume it is the head gasket. Cheers luke

Yeh that sounds good, do you think thats what it sounds like tho?.

what do you mean by rocker cover? the inside of the cover or the rocker assy itself. the alternator getting oil over is common when the 3 nuts holding the rocker cover on are over tightened and it pinches the gasket.

The top bit of the engine what has renault written on it (rocker cover). That is tottaly dry so i thought it could be head gasket? But it still boosts up to 16psi and holds and there is no nasty stuff in the oil, but both sids of the engine are coverd in oil

It can only be the Rocker gasket or head gasket.....i'd say it would be quite easy to tell which it is!

I have orderd a new rocker gasket so ill try replacing that first see if it solves the problem, if not ill have to try and think about the head gasket if there is oil still leaking. Ill keep you up to date and thanks for all the help.
