Nice 5.5L of Elf's finest :approve:

Now it's time for some more :race:

Steve.

Cheers Colin.

I'm trying to use it a bit more this year, hence getting it taxed, MOT'd and the oil changed (the old oil had only done about 350 miles but was over two years old).

Cambelt hasn't been done yet (18 months overdue), and I know the sticklers for detail out there will be turning in their graves, but at 6k on the clock I think I'll roll the dice and take my chances for another year or two, lol.

Steve.

Tut tut.. Stevie boy.. You know that rubber will perish, just as easy when not in use.. ;) My fingers are crossed for you.. 8)

Good to hear you intend to use it a bit this year! :approve: Renault Sport National meet interest you? :welcome:

I know its a risk Steve but mine was done on time with approx 46k on the clock, it looked brand new still. Ive got it in the garage and have been through it with a fine tooth comb, no signs of perishing or wear.....

I've spoken to Scott and Fred about this, both were of the impression that I would probably be wasting my money, but obviously my call.

So, as I said, i'm prepared to roll the dice.

Shaun, live a little fella ;)

LOL.. yeah yeah... I just wouldnt fancy the bill for an engine re-build. But like you said, you're prepared to roll the dice. At least you know the cars history being its only owner. :)

Exactly this, and I don't plan on selling it, so who cares what other people think about the 'service history'.

It is still one of the tidiest Vee's around, and I love it, thats all that matters to me [cmilie=iconcheers.gif]

Well done Steve. I fully subscribed to your pragmatic approach when it comes to belt servicing. I left mine run over for 18 months but it was 'as new'. Worth the punt IMO.
