fuel filter position

any one have any pics of the fuel filter position it sits on top of the tank.....I had the fuel pump refurbed...all working good I drained the tank then replaced the fuel filter,,,but wont start...will try it again tomorrow...was thinking I might have the filter round the wrong way

I drained the tank then replaced the fuel filter

Hi I am curious how did you drain the tank because I may need to do this in future. My guess is if a hose is used to try to siphon petrol from the filler neck, it will probably bottom out before touching any petrol as there might be an anti rollover valve.

It is possible to fit it backwards because both the inlet and outlet is Ø 8mm
But I have no idea if this would result in a no start however it would restrict or even stop the flow of fuel and if you think you have this backwards you probably need to turn it around.

The direction of the fuel filter is indicated with arrows and these should point towards OS (same side as the petrol filler door).

yeah the filter is all good mate....theres fuel at the fuel rail with plenty pressure its just not getting to the plugs,,,the injectors are pulsing...so i eventually sourced a crank sensor from germany ,,should be here any day so will try that see if it makes any difference
