Flywheel sensor or Alarm?

Hi guys , My v6 wouldn't start after a 15 min shopping trip to Sainsbury's. The RAC man's computer showed only 1 fault code (barring the missing cats!) ... Crankshaft position sensor. He removed it , cleaned it , cooled it down? but to no avail. We towed it home andthe engine just turns. However , I've been hearing 3 loud beeps after I set the alarm recently and after the towing trip it made one huge one ... I had to disarm the alarm manually with the LED/ignition
I have recently activated the Tracker and from past experience the 3 loud beeps on performance cars do indicate some unhappines with the Tracker systems.
I also know that the tracker is directly linked to the Cat 1 alarm and the coded ignition key.

Would tracker have an immobilisation on this sensor , making it read as a fault to the cars diagnostic computer?

I've ordered the part £52 but it is electrical and therefore non-returnable so I'm taking a bit of a gamble ?

The ECU and inlet are modified but It starts very well and am pretty sure it's nothing to do with this.

No service lights are up prior to incident (and I know they work) ... the 1st attempt outside sainsburys it started momentarily then died , subsequent attempts(over time) resulted in a couple of cylinders almost firing then died now the engine just spins

Any Ideas?
Thanks JJ

I've experienced the long beep when resetting the immobalizer when the batteries been disconnected. The beeps can happen if you try to set the alarm with say the bonnet open.
