Flat spot

Here is a strange one

Just changed plugs, air filter to piper x induction kit, fuel filter, and fixed fuel gauge float inside swirl pot.

I've noticed that I have suddenly developped a strange flat spot? It happens in all the gears but at different revs? i.e last night it was at 3000-4K this morning it was more like 5.5K onwards has just a sudden flat spot and then when you change gear up its fine again until it hits a flat spot.

My first guess would be something to do with fuel and work around the swirl pot? However I would have starting issues also which I dont.

Next I thought maybe fuel filter was put on in the wrong direction, but again surely this would affect across the whole rev range? Shouldnt it?

Right now I think it must be to do with the air filter surely.

ANy ideas before I get the mechanic to start taking everything apart?

Thanks

Prob air filter?

An interesting note. My previous Phase 1 had a QS exhaust and pipercross induction filter. My current phase 1 is 100% standard and is notcieably quicker than the previous one????

Sometimes upgrades on air filters etc can hinder performance and running.
