flaming vee!

hi guys, i just thought i would post a video of my vee on the rollers, it made 197 hp at the wheels, current mods, quicksilver backbox, custom decat manifolds, custom collector decat pipe, lightweight flywheel, BMC induction kit and remap through ben at mulgari. one of the lambda sensors was faulty at the time of the video hence the 3ft flames, i will get it back on the rollers once i have the new sensor fitted...
enjoy :)

Not really sure what bhp to expect really, but as soon as its sorted I will post the results. The car feels as if its got quite a bit more to give as its very sort of laggy at the moment.

There seems to be some movement on the engine when accelerating and backing off? Who done the manifolds?

Sounds the bollocks btw! [smilie=yay.gif]

The manifolds have been done by a company near me I no the guy very well, he has done the exhausts on all my cars, the company is called John Ashley exhausts, he has made a jig of the manifolds and collector decat so if anyone wanted some making up I can get prices for them :)

Yes yes yes!! Are the mk1&2 going to be the same?

hmm im not sure mate, i cant see why it wouldnt fit a phase 2 as well but without looking i couldnt say for sure, i will look into it.
As for the lambda sensor im changing in pairs so just two for now, havnt really had a proper look at prices yet.

Look forward to hearing back Oli.

Can the manifold be removed in situ, or does the motor need to be out. What was Ashleys approach?

They did it with engine in place, the hardest part of the whole job was removing all the old manifolds, heat shields and stuff.

Looking really good Ollie. Was wondering who's the Iceberg was when it appeared on YT! Your flames look similar to mine, albeit mine were out of both exhausts!

What's with your wibbly wobbly exhaust though? :s

Is yours decatted aswell fella? Or rather what's the set up?

Mines a full manifold back Janspeed with decat. Not that it needs it but, seeing as I can't seem to leave anything alone, it'll be modified shortly to release even more decibels 8)

You thinking of a change Ali?

They should work with any back box, we tested them with the standard back box as well and that fitted fine. Not too sure why they are moving all over the place will look into that, it's going back into the exhaust place soon anyway as the manifolds on the car at the moment are not the finished product! They will be in stainless and coated too keep the heat down.
Cheers for comments :)

Engine comes out soon Jon for it's 2nd cambelt change. So makes sense to do it at the same time.

Assume you've got the emissions light on the dash and need a friendly MOT man to wave you through.

Also does the janspeed only mate with the janspeed box? (Are you running the old style or spike style)
