Fiiting Spike's Janspeed exhaust

I will be installing one of Spike's exhausts very soon and wondered if anyone knew what other parts are required?

Eg, gaskets and mounting rubbers..

Are they solely Renault parts or does anyone have another source?

Thanks

For the rubber mounts, sack the genuine Renault ones off if they are perished. To replace them will cost you circa £50 each! (Yes you heard me correctly.. £50 for a bit of rubber) and you need 4 of them.

When i fitted Spikes Janspeed, I replaced with Powerflex EXH 005 (part number) x4 qty.

Just google them, but I think I bought them direct off the powerflex website for about £20 quid posted. They are red in colour, so if you're picky about colour you may need to look elsewhere.

Gaskets are a bit more tricky, but you might have to find a local exhaust supplier and match up your old gaskets with an off the shelf job. I did this and they cost me a few quid. (Something like a Ford Focus one fitted perfectly.)

If you want the exhaust to show a little more, you can turn the two grilles in the rear bumper up the other way by taking the centre of the rear bumper off. If you are taking the bumper off the fit the new one its a quick and easy job. I did mine last summer. It still looks OE with a nice but of silver silencer shining behind the bumper.

Ian, I remember when you started yours up it sounded very nice, much better than stock (which from the outside sounds like a hairdryer).

Have you fitted one of these or something different?

Mine does have a stainless aftermarket back box, its not a Janspeed though. Sounds daft but I cant remember what it is!

Thanks Ian

Will look at turning the grills around when I install the exhaust. That said they do rattle a bit, so could do with looking at..

Powerflex now only do these mounts in red..they use to do Yellow, which I think would suit my BG better?

Has anyone got or know who may have 4 x Yellow exhaust mounts?
Many thanks

Would like to get all my parts ready before I receive and fit the new exhaust.

Ive been searching online for yellow mounts, but with no luck yet..Red may have to do?

Regarding the gaskets, can anyone let me know exactly what I will require? and I will get them ordered

Thanks again
