Exhaust manifold gasket

Hi

Anyone know if I have to physically drop the engine from the car to change an exhaust manifold gasket (the manifold at the front of the engine...nearest the rear of the car) or can this job be done with the engine in situ?

Many thanks

It can be done in situ but it is quite tricky and be prepared to shed some skin on your knuckles to do it!

Just take your time and lots of WD40 on the manifold studs allowing them to soak a little before you start.

Good luck if you decide to do it!
